Whether you are an individual, family, investor, or business owner, we are here to help you make informed decisions and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
A Few Personal Highlights From Around Kadota
As we reflect on the past year, we’re reminded that while business is important, it’s the people and relationships behind it that matter most.
It’s been a particularly exciting year for Gavin Tracey and his partner Jess, who recently welcomed their baby boy, Connor, into the world. We know many of our clients have already had the pleasure of working with Gavin over the past 12 months, and we’re thrilled for them as they begin this exciting new chapter as a family.
There is more exciting family news on the horizon, with Stephanie Tipping and her family eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest addition, due in November. We know many clients know Stephanie well, and we’re all looking forward to celebrating with her later in the year.
Adam also celebrated a significant milestone recently, marking his 50th birthday with a well-earned family holiday through Europe. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together and create lifelong memories before returning refreshed and ready for another busy financial year.
August sees Andrew and Adam travel to Vietnam to spend time with our offshore team. Over recent years our Vietnamese team members have become an integral part of the Kadota family, helping us deliver better outcomes and greater efficiency for our clients.
This year also marks a major milestone for Kadota as we celebrate our 10th birthday in November. To celebrate this milestone, our team will be heading to the Sunshine Coast later this year, where we’ll take the opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, celebrate our achievements, and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for the next chapter of the Kadota story.
As we begin this financial year, there are several important areas that we encourage clients to focus on:
- Ensuring records and documentation are maintained throughout the year.
- Reviewing business performance and cash flow strategies.
- Maximising available tax deductions and concessions.
- Considering superannuation contribution opportunities.
- Managing investment and capital gains tax implications.
- Staying informed of legislative and compliance changes.
Personal Super Contributions
If you are planning to claim deductions for personal super contributions there are some key things that you must do.
1) Submit a “Notice of Intent” to claim a deduction for personal contributions
- Click here to access a Notice of Intent form
2) Receive an “Acknowledgment” back from your Superfund, confirming that they have processed your notice of intent
3) Provide the Acknowledgment to your accountant.
Super Guarantee Contribution Payments
From 1 July 2026, employers need to pay superannuation contributions at the same time they pay their employees’ wages. employers will need to pay employees’ super contributions at the same time they pay their salary or wages so that the contributions reach the employees’ nominated account within 7 business days.
